Meet Scientific Games’ New CEO and President, Kevin Sheehan
Sheehan describes his leadership style as a reflection of his energy, passion and commitment to customer service, employee engagement and shareholder value. “I have had success driving shareholder value by taking a fresh look at existing businesses, breaking down silos, driving innovation, and inspiring employees to deliver great results for the company and our customers,” he stated.
Getting up to speed won’t be a challenge. “I’m fortunate to work with 8,400 team members who know the gaming and lottery business inside and out. I’m listening to them, learning from them, spending time with our customers, and asking a lot of questions,” said Sheehan.
Not surprisingly, there are many parallels between the cruise business and the lottery and gaming space. “The cruise business is all about offering the best guest experience, developing loyal patrons, and delivering innovative and entertaining experiences that differentiate your company from the competition,” stated Sheehan. “In the lottery and gaming industries, you require innovative and engaging game content that keeps players entertained, while offering a robust suite of back-end technologies that deliver operating efficiencies. The focus is B2B, but also B2C –your end-user is the player … the consumer of that great game content whether it is a slot machine, a social casino game, an instant lottery game, or an engaging table game.”
Sheehan’s stellar career has spanned the financial, hospitality, travel and entertainment sectors for global businesses. “This experience gives me unique insights into customers like ours in the entertainment space; the necessity of innovating for the future; the significance of seamlessly integrating business divisions; and the importance of fiscal discipline when leading leveraged companies,” he stated.
