Introduction to the new General Manager of Loteria Romana

Since 10 January 2020 Sebastian – Iacob Moga is the new General Manager of the C.N.  "Loteria Română" S.A., being appointed to this position by the Board of Administrators.

The Romanian Lottery is one of the oldest institutions in the country, established to improve the health system, especially in rural areas. The main mission of C.N. “Loteria Română” S.A. is to make the most of its activities, so that income increases every year in order to support the governmental policies for financing objectives and projects of national interest.

In order to implement a coherent, efficient and responsible strategy, it was considered necessary to appoint a General Manager familiar with the company’s plans and activities, an experienced leader, but who will come up with a new vision in order to improve the whole internal management system.

Sebastian – Iacob Moga successfully fulfils all these requirements. Since 2005 he has held several management positions in the company, including that of General Manager and has successfully coordinated the activity of several territorial centres, being a good connoisseur of management and marketing operations.

The main objectives set by the Board of Directors for the new General Manager aim at the efficiency of its own sales network and the elaboration of measures for the implementation of the online platform for lotto products.

“I believe that the experience in the territory, regarding the development of the Lottery network, would be a first convincing argument that there is a better place for the whole company, that there are solutions for an increase of the operating income, as well as for an increase of the visibility of our company in the gambling market. There are enough measures that can be applied, so that we can better focus on the main objective of the company, to contribute to financing the objectives of national interest, ” says Sebastian-Iacob Moga.

Mr Moga is very proud to be part of such a strong Association as The European Lotteries and he is sure that being part of this big lottery family is a valuable asset for his company. The sharing experience between European Lotteries members is an important element for Loteria Română. It has helped the company gain insights regarding product development, customer experience and games strategy.
