Honorary President Mr Reissiger

The EL President, Executive Committee and EL team express their sincere condolences for the loss of Mr Hans-Jürgen Reißiger, former Managing Director of Deutsche Klassenlotterie Berlin and EL Honorary President, who sadly passed away in October, aged 78.

EL is thankful for Mr Reißiger’s commitment, expertise and dedication in his role as EL Vice President from 1999 to 2001 and EL President from 2001 to 2005. In 2006 Mr Reißiger was nominated EL Honorary President by the General Assembly as an acknowledgement of his successful work for enhancing awareness in the lottery sector in Europe.

Mr Reißiger dedicated much of his professional life to the lottery sector and served as a Member of the Executive Committee of the World Lottery Association and INTERTOTO – European Section. In addition, Mr Reißiger was also a member of several other Committees including the Board of the Association of Hospitals, Member of the Supervisory Board of DRK Hospital Companies, Member of the Board of Trustees of the German Chamber Orchestra and Presidential Member for Finance of the Landessportbundes Berlin.

Mr Reißiger’s passion for the lottery sector and firm belief in contributing to society as its core mission will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues.

Président honoraire M. Reissiger

European Lotteries exprime ses sincères condoléances à la disparition de M. Hans-Jürgen Reißiger, ancien directeur général de Deutsche Klassenlotterie Berlin et président honoraire d’EL, qui est malheureusement décédé en octobre, à l’âge de 78 ans.

EL est reconnaissant de l’engagement, de l’expertise et du dévouement de M. Reißiger dans son rôle de vice-président d’EL (1999-2001) et de président d’EL (2001-2005). En 2006, M. Reißiger a été nommé Président honoraire d’EL par l’Assemblée générale comme une reconnaissance de son travail réussi pour améliorer la sensibilisation dans le secteur de la loterie en Europe.

Reißiger a consacré une grande partie de sa vie professionnelle au secteur de la loterie et a été membre du Comité exécutif de la WLA et INTERTOTO - Section européenne. M. Reißiger était membre d’autres Comités, y compris le Conseil d’administration de l’Association des hôpitaux, Membre du Conseil de surveillance des sociétés de l’hôpital DRK, Membre du Conseil d’administration de l’Orchestre de chambre allemand et Membre présidentiel pour le financement des Landessportbundes Berlin.

La passion de M. Reißiger pour le secteur de la loterie et sa croyance ferme en sa contribution à la société comme sa mission principale manqueront à tous.

European Lotteries desea expresar su más sentido pésame por la pérdida de Hans-Jürgen Reißiger, ex director general de Deutsche Klassenlotterie Berlin y presidente honorario de EL, que desafortunadamente falleció en octubre, a los 78 años.

EL agradece el compromiso, la experiencia y la dedicación del Sr. Reißiger en su cargo como vicepresidente de EL (1999-2001) y presidente de EL (2001-2005). En 2006, el Sr. Reißiger fue nombrado presidente honorario por la Asamblea General como reconocimiento por su magnífico trabajo centrado en aumentar la concienciación dentro del sector de la lotería en Europa.

El Sr. Reißiger dedicó gran parte de su vida profesional al sector de la lotería y fue miembro del Comité Ejecutivo de la WLA e INTERTOTO, en la sección europea. El Sr. Reißiger fue miembro de otros comités, incluido el Board of the Association of Hospitals (Consejo de la Asociación de Hospitales), miembro del Supervisory Board of DRK Hospital Companies (Consejo de Supervisión de Empresas del Hospital DRK), miembro del Board of Trustees of the German Chamber Orchestra (Consejo Directivo de la Orquesta de Cámara Alemana) y miembro presidencial de Finanzas de los Landessportbundes Berlin.

Ehrenpräsident Hans-Jürgen Reißiger

Die European Lotteries möchte ihr tief empfundenes Beileid angesichts des Verlustes von Herrn Hans-Jürgen Reißiger, dem ehemaligen Geschäftsführer der Deutschen Klassenlotterie Berlin und Ehrenpräsident der EL, zum Ausdruck bringen, der im Oktober im Alter von 78 Jahren verstorben ist.

Die EL ist dankbar für das Engagement, die Expertise und die Leidenschaft, die Herr Reißiger in seiner Rolle als Vizepräsident (1999 - 2001) und Präsident (2001 - 2005) der EL unter Beweis gestellt hat. Im Jahr 2006 wurde Herr Reißiger von der Generalversammlung in Anerkennung seiner erfolgreichen Arbeit zur Steigerung des Bewusstseins im Lotteriebereich in Europa zum Ehrenpräsidenten der EL ernannt.

Herr Reißiger widmete einen großen Teil seines beruflichen Werdegangs dem Lotteriebereich und war Mitglied des Exekutivkomitees der WLA und European Section von INTERTOTO. Herr Reißiger war daneben Mitglied weiterer Ausschüsse, unter anderem des Vorstands der Krankenhausvereinigung, Mitglied im Aufsichtsrat der DRK Krankenhäuser, Mitglied des Stiftungsrates des Deutschen Kammerorchesters und Präsidialmitglied für Finanzen des Landessportbundes Berlin.

Die Leidenschaft von Herrn Reißiger für die Lotteriebranche und seine feste Überzeugung, mit dieser Kernaufgabe einen entscheidenden Beitrag zum Wohl der Gesellschaft zu leisten, werden fehlen.
